Ah, the ebook reader; an industry most people scoffed at up until the Kindle was released. Now you’re not cool unless you have a device in the works. Samsung has decided to jump into the fray with the newly announced SNE-50K.

It’s not anything spectacular by ebook reader standards, but it looks functional. It’s got a 5-inch touchscreen e-ink interface (with a stylus, ack), 512MB of memory and is only 9 millimeters thick. However, it doesn’t have any wireless capabilities, so it’s hard to get excited about it. Really hard. The Kindle has nothing to be worried about either because the SNE-50K is only slated for release in South Korea, although Samsung has promised to show of a prototype at CES.
