COOL-ER ereader updates firmware with TopTenREVIEWS suggestion

The TopTenREVIEWS ebook reader review team was gratified to hear Cool-er updated their latest firmware to address a problem our reviewer spotted while using the COOL-ER Classic. It takes more than a pretty face to impress our reviewers, but looks don't hurt. The COOL-ER Classic comes in an array of candy colors and is affordably priced at $249. Now the functionality is better as well. According to Erin Faye at Interead, manufacturer of the COOL-ER ereader:

"Just wanted to let you know...the 'biggest gripe" in your review (that when you turn the device off and back on, it goes back to the root menu) has been fixed in the latest firmware update :)

(This was a HUGE gripe of mine too...much better now because it turns on to exactly where you left it!)"

Several emerging technologies, including e-readers are among the most wanted and hottest gifts this season. For the first time, ereaders made the Top 10 Consumer Electronics wish list along with netbooks and blu-ray players, according to a report issued by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), which issued its 16th Annual CE Holiday Sales Forecast this morning at the CEA Industry Forum last week.

TopTenREVIEWS offers a side-by-side comparison of ebook readers, including the COOL-ER ranked at number five.
